Student Support Services
At AUO, we take pride in providing a campus where international students can thrive and fulfil their ambitions. Students coming to us from abroad face particular challenges and we recognise that the right level of support can make a significant difference to their lives in the UK. We offer a comprehensive mix of support services to help our students feel at home – from the first application to graduation day.
Student Counselling Services
Our student support and counselling service offers help and advice on a wide range of issues. We also conduct regular sessions with professionally trained counsellors who can help you deal with any difficulties you may be experiencing, whether personal, legal or academic.
We also have a welcome programme to help students adapt to their new life in the UK, including a tour of the AUO campus and introductions to the staff, a tour of Oxford (both city and University) and the local area, along with information and advice on studying and living in different parts of the UK.
Accommodation is an important consideration while you are living away from home. Our Student Support Services office is able to guide students to find accommodation or to help them choose from a variety of accommodation types in Oxford to suit different budgets and needs. Students can choose from host- family accommodation, a room in a shared house, student hostel, or renting private housing independently.
AUO recreational facilities include a pool table, tennis court and basketball court.
A fully functional cafeteria is available to staff and students, where lunch is served every day. Vending machines serving a range of snacks, and hot & cold beverages are also available to students.
